| Editorial Reviews:
Product Description Building Entrepreneurial People is the only book ever written that describes, step-by-step, how to change the culture of a professional firm from reactive to proactive. The accounting profession has changed. No longer do audits and tax work make up the bulk of services provided by the progressive firms. Far more money can be made, and more value provided to clients through nonattest consulting services. To succeed in this competive environment and in the coming years, accounting firms must be more entrepreneurial. Building Entrepreneurial People will assist you and your firm in identifying and creating the type of business-development-oriented partner that is necessary for your firm to survive and thrive in the years to come. | Customer Reviews: Great ideas, measurable improvements June 18, 2004 C. Holt This book was a breath of fresh air for our firm. The author departs from the usual, and gives you a plan that works in the real world. The ideas were solid, made sense, and we were able to implement them successfully. This is the kind of information that would help any size firm. I only wish we had bought it sooner!
BRILLIANT!!! June 18, 2004 R. Gauthier (Boston) A phenomenal book! I read the entire thing in one sitting... It's jam packed with tons of fantastic tools and insights for ANYONE wanting to improve their bottom line. I highly recommend it.
Too little value for the price, but concise with some ideas April 3, 2003 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
Tiny 100 page paperback for the price of $. Full of sweeping generalizations about CPAs such as "Because CPA firms are typically run like democracies.." and "close-minded like most CPAs" and "unlike most CPAs, who take their clients for granted..." On the good side, it's a concise, easy read with some specific ideas on enacting a business development plan for the entire organization.
