 Title and text mismatch June 21, 2000

The title is about sucessful technology consulting. The text is a list of stuff that has been used in numerous other books. There is nothing new or inspiring. This book is written specifically for the CPA (not mentioned in the title) and is not for the IT professional or general consultant. I am returning mine today - not something even useful enough for the bookcase.

If you plan to self-direct your startup as a technology consultant, or just want to pick up some new ideas, get some expert help. Start with a book by one of the pioneers and major innovators of CPA firm technology consulting, James C. Metzler, CPA. This partner at Gaines Metzler Kriner & Co. in Buffalo, NY, holds nothing back in How to Build a Million Dollar Technology Consulting Practice. If you don't earn back the price of this book immediately, check your pulse. The worst that can happen is that you'll buy the book and decide consulting is not for you-and that'll save you thousands of dollars too. Metzler has held back none of his consulting management and marketing tips from dozens of meetings he attends every year. It's a great bonus now to have them collected into one solid book.
