Product Description
A century ago, Napoleon Hill began researching and writing his classic, Think and Grow Rich— which sold more than 100 million copies worldwide. On this 100th anniversary comes a fresh and modern look at the core theme of Hill’s master work. Three Feet from Gold takes the principle of never giving up from the revolutionary best seller and presents it in a new and modern fable. A young writer sets out to interview business leaders and other influential figures of today about the importance of persistence in attaining your goals—including Dave Liniger, chairman and co-founder of Re/Max; John St. Augustine, producer of “Oprah and Friends” Radio Programming; Debbi Fields, founder of Mrs. Fields Cookies; boxing champ Evander Holyfield; Symphony Orchestra conductor Jahja Ling; the Nobel nominated founders of Childhelp.org, Yvonne Fedderson and Sara O’Meara; and NASCAR President Mike Helton. Through these inspirational real-life stories, Three Feet from Gold offers advice about having passion for what you do, finding your own personal Success Formula, choosing good counsel, and above all: never giving up.

Thanks Sharon July 12, 2010 Mark Thank you Sharon for a great journey down a path that has always been there. I particularly like the success formula which I am currently using in my coaching of Realtors. I've pulled many 'nuggets' from 3 Feet, which by the way, has inspired me to re-read Think and Grow Rich.
Well Done!
Sharon Lechter Strikes "Gold" With New Book July 1, 2010 C. A. Webb (Jackson, MS) If you are going through challenges in your personal or professional life, then Sharon Lechter and Greg Reid's newest book THREE FEET FROM GOLD is a title you need to add to your reading list NOW. They are able to take you into the lives of professionals who have been through the hard times and are not afraid of sharing their lessons with you, and I think everyone will be able to find something they can apply. The overall message of the book is something I saw repeated throughout: the only way to make moves is to MOVE. Don't allow fear of failure or the unknown stop you from making a difference in your life or the lives of others.
THREE FEET FROM GOLD is a treasure, and you would yourself a favor to discover it.
Keep Moving Forward! June 20, 2010 K. Wojcik (Denver, CO) I picked this book because of the curious title. When I realized it was a story(true???) about being persistent, I knew I had found a good book for me. You see, I suffer from having too many projects in motion at one time and not being persistent enough to finish what I have started.
The parable used is maybe a bit hard to actually believe, but the messages in it ring true. Each short chapter provides yet another reason to stay with your goal or project. Facing hardships is just a way of knowing you are getting closer to your destination.
I found this to be an uplifting book that came along at just the right time for me. I hope the same is true for you!
Enjoy
Only Halfway Through, But Couldn't Hold Back April 20, 2010 Michael Dolpies (Tilton, NH USA) I just started reading this book and I am only halfway through. But I could not hold back. I really felt compelled to write this review.
If you read the original Think and Grow Rich you need to get this book. And if you haven't read the original Think and Grow Rich, you need to get this book. As someone who has studied many self-help and success books and even written one too I know a good one when I see it. And this book deserves to be in your library.
What's great is that the book begins in a story format. The story is a journey of self-discovery and you can travel right along with it. The principles that are shared through the book are timeless and give you something to think about and, more importantly, act on.
Enjoy,
Mike
Motion Before Motivation: The Success Secret That Never Fails
Inspirational message April 10, 2010 Alice Berger (North Carolina, USA) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
In 1937, Napoleon Hill wrote the classic Think and Grow Rich after spending twenty years interviewing the wealthiest and most successful men of his time. Although this book is still as applicable today as it was when it was written, Greg S. Reid felt the need to update some of this wisdom, accounting for changes that have happened since Napoleon Hill's day.
In Three Feet From Gold Reid and his co-author Sharon Lechter share the success secrets of some of today's business leaders. Don Green, CEO of the Napoleon Hill Foundation, assisted and supported this venture in carrying on its founder's tradition.
Although it's told as a story, with several fictional characters added to give it some depth, the wisdom Reid and Lechter impart in this book are profound. Nuggets like "A dream is just a dream until it is written down -- then it becomes a goal" and "Never make a major decision in a valley" are scattered throughout the text, as the main character learns from his new mentors.
Nothing can ever take the place of Hill's classic work, but Three Feet From Gold is an inspiring book that picks up where Think and Grow Rich leaves off. This new classic belongs in every positive thinker's library.
